Erik Stefan Cassel (December 16, 1967 – February 11, 2013) was an American entrepreneur, engineer, and software developer. He was best known as the co-founder of Roblox Corporation, alongside David Baszucki, and served as the company's chief scientist. Cassel was involved in the development of Roblox from its earliest prototypes until his death in 2013. In 1990, Erik Cassel graduated from Cornell University as a physics major,[6] he later saw a review of Knowledge Revolution, a company co-founded by David Baszucki, in MacUser magazine and decided to fly out for an interview to join the Knowledge Revolution team. He served as the VP of Engineering until its acquisition by MSC Software. In 2003, David Baszucki and Erik Cassel rented an office in Menlo Park and began working on an early prototype of what would later become Roblox.[7] In 2004, Erik Cassel departed from MSC Software to join David Baszucki and continue developing Roblox. On February 12th, 2013, hundreds of users gathered in the Erik Cassel Memorial, created by his sons,[9] to mourn the death of Erik Cassel. Many of these people dressed up as Erik Cassel's character to pay tribute to him. On February 15th, 2013, Roblox created a classic shirt named "Official Erik Shirt" in memory of Erik.cassel. The shirt went off sale 8 days later. Also in memory of Erik Cassel, Roblox changed the name of a hat formerly known as "Well Worn Hat" to "Erik Cassel's Hat" and put it on-sale for a short time.[14] Roblox then changed the two items' descriptions to the following: "To honor our co-founder Erik Cassel, Roblox will make a substantial contribution to cancer research in Erik's name. As his sanity deteriorates in the bad ending, he ends up killing multiple people in his house, and in the secret ending, he goes insane in a forest and becomes homicidal. However, in the good ending, he ends up celebrating with multiple people in his house thanks to another person named Mong. Dex is a young adult Robloxian with yellow skin. He wears a green shirt, blue pants and a green party hat. Dex is outwardly friendly and cheerful, but inside, he is very insecure. He has low self-esteem, as he seems to have hallucinations of other people calling him miserable and a loser, and that everyone is sick of him. As the game progresses, he slowly loses his sanity and becomes murderous, which ends with him either killing those who rejected him and then himself in the bad ending. In the good ending, he somewhat retains his sanity and celebrates his birthday with the same ones who rejected him, which was convinced by his friend Mong.

The postman is a recurring character within A Nostalgic Hangout Game [REDUX]. He is a highly specialised NPC who is coded to visit the player's house frequently to interact and drop off mail. In reality, he is an existential metaphor for the nature of digital existence within the ever-expanding metaverse, which becomes more apparent as the story progresses. The Postman has the appearance of a standard R6 Roblox avatar. He wears a brown jacket, a brown hat, an over-the-shoulder bag, a black woolly scarf, and blue trousers. His facial expression shifts depending on his emotional state.The postman visits the player in their home each day along his preset path using a truck. Initially, the postman is presented as a friendly companion to the player to keep them company while they play this experience. After the initial meeting, the player and postman sit on the roof at night to stargaze into the endless expanse of the platform’s metaverse. Each star within the night sky represents an experience any player could join. Unlike the player, the postman is given no choice as to where he can stay. His programming only allows him to exist within this small nostalgic hangout, the only sanctuary holding up his existence. What the player takes for granted, the postman could only ever dream of. To have the freedom of choice, unrestricted by impenetrable boundaries that were implemented as foundations to his limited existence. With these somber thoughts, the postman leaves, as his programming forces him to despawn. The following day, the postman cheerfully welcomes the player into the second day.

Pico is the tritagonist of Friday Night Funkin'. He is the opponent of Week 3, the supporting character of the Week 7 track Stress, and the playable protagonist in weekends. His tracks as an opponent include Pico, Philly Nice, and Blammed. He is also selectable as a general playable character in Freeplay. He is an assassin who has been in the field since he was a child, earning fame for his successful efforts at saving his school and protecting the planet from extraterrestrial invaders. He used to be in a relationship with Boyfriend, something that will get him in trouble with Daddy Dearest years later. He is the second guest character introduced to Friday Night Funkin', the first being Skid and Pump, the third being Tankman, the fourth being Darnell and Nene, the fifth being Otis, and the sixth being LE SSERAFIM.Pico is a young man with light skin, short ginger hair with three rounded spikes sticking out of the back, and distinctive white eyes with no pupils. He wears a green shirt, beige pants, and a pair of maroon sneakers with orange laces, orange buttons on the sides, and light beige soles. He wields a gun loosely based on an Ingram MAC-10 pistol[7] in one hand and holds a bluish-gray microphone in the other with his thumb pointing out. In his idle animation, he wears a confident and determined grin while bopping his head. He is drawn in a chibi style. During the Week 7 track Stress, he is seen crouched on top of the stereo that Girlfriend normally sits on. He now wields a pair of guns, which he twirls around and shoots in a flashy manner. During the WeekEnd 1 track Blazin', his idle animation is a fighting pose instead of a dance, and he no longer has his gun or microphone. His expression is also more serious. During Week 5, he wears a green sweater with the Angry Faic emoticon on it, black shoes, red gloves with white cuffs, red pants, and green and white earmuffs. His gun is also wrapped in Christmas lights with green wiring.

Outcast is a Red Boss that was added in the Crimson Skies update. He is the Final Boss of the Subchapter Crimson Skies on Tumore mode, debuting in Exsanguination. He is the alternate form of Apostle, trading his three area attack blood stones with six single target blood crystals instead for his main attack. He now also haves drastically buffed abilities that can and will kill anything in seconds, a heavily buffed second phase with further buffed attacks, and a second, far more aggressive boss that spawns upon his death, Blight. However, he no longer has armor in Phase 1, and he gives up a large amount of ground upon entering Phase 2.Outcast appears quite similar to his normal form, Apostle, in its 2nd phase, being a red-skinned Robloxian with a red torso and black legs, even keeping the pauldrons of his normal form. However, several blood crystals now grow from his torso and arms, leaving his head, torso, and arms with a granite-like texture. Horn-like spikes also appear exiting his upper torso with the same granite texture and coloring. When entering his second phase (50% HP), his head grows a pair of spider-like pincers that constantly move, and his torso grows small appendages.

Doombringer is based on the Roblox employee MrDoomBringer, also known as Cliff Chapman, who joined the Roblox team in the summer of 2013, being an image, forum, and super moderator. As of January 16, 2025, he stated that he is now a Senior Software Engineer at Roblox. Doombringer's teased design appears as a tall Robloxian with a red bucked head with cracked red horns, with one having it's tip broken off, one red eye, a sharp metal mouth mask, a black scarf with white dots looking like stars, and a red mech like body, with a orange plate with red ominous text saying DOOM, at least, as far as we see in the teased image and the community's partly unjumbled of his full concept art.

He is the deceased "uncle" of the user seildirectory, the owner of the archive of his earlier games, which he now haunts with disdain. Sean has a pale head, with a blue torso, and black arms and legs. Initial appearances include him with a default Roblox smile and an alternatively distorted version. His current appearance only includes the left eye distorted, with his other eye being visibly damaged and bleeding. Around the right eye is a spawn symbol, embedded into his head.Though his appearance before he died is left relatively ambiguous, it can be extrapolated from grainy photos that he had a slightly dark complexion, a somewhat bigger build, and dark curly hair. Otherwise, his face is blacked out with a square in every public real-life photo of him.

Mishgavil is the deuteragonist in the series, being the one protecting the main group from seemingly being killed by the hazards while also telling them about the situation they’re in. Mishgavil struggles with trust, though, due to being a hazard himself. But, in later entries, we see Mishgavil more vulnerable, specifically to Zap in compassion, which shows Mishgavil truly does have some form of humanity. Mishgavil appears as a Roblox character with a white ring behind his head. a blue scarf, and arm tattoos of a wing and the spawn logo on his left arm. His face also appears to be cracked, almost dividing his head. However this is not Mishgavil’s only appearance, as in envoy, he appears outside of Roblox with pale skin, holes where his mouth should be, and the same cracks in his face, and ripped and tattered blue clothes. However, Mishgavil has an odd trait, in which sometimes flames may burst out of his head, seen in envoy and {TO ATONE}. The specific reason for this isn't clear yet.

As such, during the song, he repeatedly tries to plead his way into Heaven and to escape Hell, to no avail.Charlie's Inferno Charlie is described as an ordinary man who would do the pledge of allegiance every morning, eat fish on the weekends, ride his bike whenever gas prices were high, use eco-friendly lightbulbs and get his wife a rose bi-monthly with a card attached, though he feared swimming in the ocean because of shark attacks. One day, he'd get into a car crash and suffer a cardiac arrest, killing him on the spot. Awakening as a spirit, Charlie boards a golden escalator up into the sky and is ecstatic to be going to Heaven, looking down on his friends, family, and his own deceased body as looking like ants. When he arrives at the gates, he meets the angel guarding it (presumably St. Peter) but is told he's not on the list and is ushered away. Charlie protests that it must be a mistake, asking to see someone who knew him or an official to vouch for his character and proclaiming his holiness thanks to his habit of regularly attending church, only for the angels to shove him out of Heaven. Charlie arrives at the gates of Hell, where he witnesses the tormented souls of fatsos and attention whores being punished with ironic punishments. The Devil introduces him to the various punishments of his realm, and after he and Charlie board an elevator down, Charlie tries to escape, only for the Devil to catch him.
