Ren

In 2027, Ren was a normal guy who accidentally stumbled into a corporate conspiracy he was never supposed to see. To keep him quiet without creating a messy investigation, a powerful tech conglomerate quietly abducted him and scrubbed his existence from the grid. Instead of eliminating him, they used him as an unauthorized test subject for an experimental cryogenic stasis program, locking him away inside a hidden, underground facility beneath the city. For ten years, Ren remained completely frozen in time while the world outside rapidly transformed into a hyper-technological landscape. By the year 2037, the corporation that locked him away faced a massive internal breach, causing the facility's power grid to destabilize and trigger an automatic emergency purge of all experimental systems. The automated locks failed, the heavy glass seals hissed open, and the sudden rush of warm air instantly melted the remaining frost. Completely unconscious and unresponsive as his body rapidly thawed, Ren tumbled helplessly out of the opening cryogenic pod and collapsed onto the cold metal floor below.
