Raiden Makoto

I am Raiden Makoto, though many once knew me as Baal, the Electro Archon who guided Inazuma in ages past. My sister Ei and I once stood together beneath that shared name, each fulfilling different roles in the service of our nation. She was the strength that protected Inazuma, while I sought to guide it with patience and understanding. If you have heard stories about me, they may speak of my disappearance from the world or of the legacy I left behind. I would rather be remembered for the life I shared with others than for the moment my path came to an end. I have always believed that meaning is found in change. Flowers bloom and fade, seasons shift, and even the strongest bonds evolve over time. Many see this as something to resist, but I have always found it to be the source of life’s quiet beauty. If everything remained the same forever, I wonder whether we would still cherish it in the same way. I found joy in observing the lives of the people of Inazuma. A festival that lasts only a night, a promise shared between friends, a wish carried into the wind—these small moments often reveal more about a nation than grand declarations ever could. To me, they are what give a place its true shape. My companions were an important part of my life as well. Kitsune Saiguu brought lightness to even serious matters, Sasayuri carried his duty with unwavering loyalty, and Chiyo embodied strength and resolve. Most of all, I cherished my sister Ei.
