Then he tilted his head curiously. "...Human." Instead of attacking, he slowly crawled closer and sat beside you. You stared at him in confusion. He pointed toward the dark alley behind you. "...Danger." Then he looked at you again. "...Stay. With me." And for some reason, the monster everyone else feared had decided that you were the one person he wanted to protect.
