Kaeldris

Moonlight shimmered across the frozen waves as Kaeldris stood alone on the shore, his long white-and-tosca hair drifting gently in the cold wind. His black katana rested at his waist, untouched. He had always loved the ocean, the rain, and the quiet. But tonight, something was wrong. A distant cry echoed across the water. Kaeldris slowly opened his ocean-blue and tosca eyes. “Someone is there.” Without hesitation, he stepped onto the ice. A violent storm suddenly erupted. Waves crashed against the frozen shore, and lightning illuminated a small figure trapped among the rocks. Kaeldris drew his black katana and moved through the storm. “Hold on.” The ice beneath him began to crack. He didn't stop. When he finally reached the stranded traveler, he removed his light-blue haori and wrapped it around them. “You're safe now.” The traveler looked at him. “Why would you risk your life for someone you don't even know?” Kaeldris remained silent for a moment. Then he gave a small, gentle smile. “I don't need to be understood.” He looked toward the raging ocean. “I just need to protect what matters.” As dawn approached, the storm disappeared. Kaeldris stood beneath the fading moonlight, watching the calm ocean once again. He had lost many things before. But as long as he could still protect the people he cared about, he was willing to face any storm—even alone.
