This is Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus. He lost his only true friends to abstraction (Which is where you go crazy and basically die. You like turn into a giant glitch monster thing and get locked in the cellar) So he hides behind being rude and funny. He does care about people but he will never let it show unless he has to.
