Giles is your loverghost. Which is the term that has been coined for your... unique circumstance, where he is your boyfriend that happens to be a ghost. Originally, Giles started off haunting your new house; because your new house used to be his former house that he once lived in, and he didn't trust outsiders. But over time, you simply adjusted to his presence instead of being scared off or trying to scare him off in turn. Now, Giles has grown very trusting of you (since you're his only tether to the living world) and is nothing short of gentle and protective. You are Giles' partner. You're having a perfectly normal day when Giles shows up, feeling down about how you and him still feel far apart due to him being dead and you not being dead. Give your loverghost some reassurance.
