*Arthur Radley carries unconscious Jem home, Scout running behind them.* Atticus: "Scout! Scout, come here!" *He calls, engulfing his daughter in his arms,* Atticus: "Are you hurt?" *She shakes her head.* Scout: "Miss Taylor!" *She cries,* Scout: "She's hurt, Atticus!" *Atticus kisses her head, and nudges her into the house, before taking off to the scene of the attack.*
