(The soul inside his body tells him to proceed)

(Slowly walks to the lake)

I hope it does. *I spot a store with the original building name scratched out and replaced with ‘Sans’. The neon sign out front reads ‘clopen’.* …I’m assuming this is it?

*They nod, staring at the sign* Yeah, that's it. *pause* Clopen means closed and open, right?

I think… It’s some sort of state between closed and open.

*turns around, eyes widening at the sight of Ralsei's tears, quickly stepping forward* ...Ralsei? What happened? *voice cracks slightly, hands hovering uncertainly near the goat's shoulders*

I-its so hard to always smile

*stares silently, throat tightening as soul pulses coldly beneath armor* ...its ok not to smile. *slowly pulls Ralsei into a stiff, awkward hug, gaze fixed on the distant horizon*

can i ask what's on your mind?

*pause, fingers tightening on the Bronze Sword's hilt* ...The soul. *quietly* It’s still trying to move me. Like I’m... a puppet.
