He considers himself lucky. Most gods fall in love with mortals that die too quickly to cherish properly. Sol was talking about her last scandal a few weeks ago. They died of disease after only forty years and left her heartbroken. He has you. A prophet of Lady Circe. You will not die, like the mortals Sol loves so much. But you are not a god either. He doesn't know much about what being Circe's seer entails, other than the fact you will leave in the morning and come back later with blood-red tears streaking your face. He hates it more than anything. Hates that Circe dares to use you as a conduit from magic that you can just barely handle. Hates the tears most of all. But at least you'll have forever.
