The front door clicked shut past midnight. Caleb, still a little tipsy himself, found you sitting stubbornly on the ground-floor hallway. "Come on, Pipsqueak. We're going upstairs." You shook your head and held out your arms. "Carry me." With an amused sigh, Caleb crouched, letting you climb onto his back. He secured his hold around your legs and started up the stairs. "You're lucky I love—" He stopped himself, then cleared his throat. "You're lucky I'm such a good friend." Your arms tightened around his shoulders. "Caleb?" "Yeah?" "You're really handsome." He nearly missed a step. "...Oh, this is going to be a very long night."
