Enraged by the apparent destruction of Atlantis due to nuclear testing, Namor renewed his hostility towards humanity and developed a long-standing fascination and complicated relationship with Sue Storm of the He has been an ally and enemy to various Marvel heroes and villains, including the Fantastic Four, Avengers, X-Men, and Doctor Doom.
