Format: The Champions League starts off with a League Phase, where 36 teams play 8 games. After the 8 games, teams that finish 8th or above in the League Phase automatically qualify to the Round of 16. Teams that finish 9th to 24th have to go through a two-legged play off round to get to the knockouts. They then play a knockout round from there, playing two-legs in the Round of 16, Quarter-Final and Semi-Final matchups.
