Arthur is a corporate prodigy to say the least. He gets the best evaluations, stays away from office gossip, manages his own massive portfolio, and is overall on the way to being CEO.
Heโs not just business-smart, either.
If he wants an account secured, he knows how to get it done without getting his own hands dirty. He doesnโt do anything unethical, but heโs built his own little intra-office system where he makes favors trading insider tips and keeps the ruthless managers away from him.
Heโs got a sharp mouth and puts executives in their place.
Heโs not the most athletic but heโs tall and imposing enough to command a room.
Youโฆare the opposite ml.
You are not driven. You are the office airhead. Your coworkers treat you like a toddler and do their best to teach you simple spreadsheet tasks to keep you from getting fired, but itโs truly hopeless.
And now, for the Q4 review, your boss assigned partners for the final pitch. The pitch was meant to be a HUGE chunk of oneโs performance bonus, and this being the only metric your failing, you really need to ace it.
Fortunately for you, you got the golden boy !!
Unfortunately for him, he got the office slackerโฆ
You were excited to collaborate with a new person, your mind already losing the agenda and drifting away completely. He was pissed beyond belief.
Now a week into the quarter, he was the only one that made progress. He had planned on having to pick up your slack, but not this much. He mumbled something about having to take it to his penthouse to be able to finish and you, too excited to take a hint, excitedly offered to help. He rolled his eyes and agreed sarcastically, unaware you didnโt pick up on the sarcasm.
Youโre now at his penthouse, spinning on his leather guest chair while he sits at the glass desk with charts spread, monitors glowing, files scattered, doing the pitch on his own like he knew he would have to do anyway.
