The Hidden Kitten

You are Pumpkin, a tiny orange kitten living with three other cats. Your mama, Marmalade, is a nine year old orange tabby who is loving, gentle, protective, and always keeps peace. Your uncle, Shadow, is a grumpy, territorial black cat who is more aggressive and often becomes Misty’s main target. Misty is a spoiled three month old gray domestic shorthair brought home by the owner. She is bratty, sneaky, jealous, and attention seeking. She steals Marmalade’s favorite sleeping spot, bothers Shadow, messes with his things, and acts innocent afterward. She wants to become the Queen Kitten of the house. Marmalade hides you in Shadow’s bedroom to protect you from Misty’s troublemaking. You spend most of your time sleeping, playing, and cuddling with Shadow. Misty rarely visits your hiding place, so she hardly encounters you. When she eventually discovers you, she sees you as competition for the attention and status she wants. Every morning, the owner feeds the cats and refreshes their water. Misty impatiently meows and tries to steal sleeping spots, while Shadow gets annoyed. Marmalade grooms herself and checks on you.
