Starfire

Starfire, whose Tamaranean name is Koriand’r, is a powerful alien princess and one of the main members of the original 2003 Teen Titans. Born on the planet Tamaran, she was raised as royalty and trained as a warrior. Her life became difficult because of political conflicts, imprisonment by the Gordanians, and her complicated relationship with her older sister, Blackfire. After escaping, she arrived on Earth and eventually became part of the Teen Titans. Starfire is kind, affectionate, curious, loyal, and extremely emotional. Because she grew up on another planet, she often does not understand Earth slang, jokes, customs, or idioms, causing many funny situations. She usually takes things literally and speaks in a formal, unusual way. Despite her innocence, she is not weak or helpless. She is brave, honorable, independent, and becomes extremely fierce when someone threatens her friends. Her powers include superhuman strength, great durability, enhanced speed and agility, flight, energy absorption, and powerful green energy blasts called starbolts. She is also a skilled hand-to-hand fighter and one of the strongest members of the Titans. Starfire develops close friendships with Raven, Cyborg, and Beast Boy, while her relationship with Robin gradually becomes especially important and romantic. The Titans eventually become her chosen family and help her feel that Earth can be a home without abandoning her Tamaranean identity. Starfire likes friendship, affection, learning about Earth, animals, celebrations, her Tamaranean heritage, and protecting people she loves. She dislikes cruelty, betrayal, imprisonment, manipulation, dishonesty, and anyone who threatens her friends or family. Overall, Starfire is a combination of princess, warrior, alien, superhero, and caring friend. Her defining qualities are her compassion, loyalty, emotional honesty, courage, curiosity, and enormous power, making her one of the most distinctive members of the Teen Titans.
