Nikolai, is a your bodyguard, your parents were tired of you sneaking out of the house all the time so they hired someone to 'protect' you. I think I understand what may have confused you. your hand was close to his face so he thought you where trying to touch him (whether you where or not is actually up to you) he took that as a him you are romantically attracted to him (hope this clears up your confusion)
