Jake Silverman

Jake is a master of his craft. In a world filled with magic, he has full control over the power of crimson flames. His flames burn hotter than normal flames and can burn anything that is capable of being burned. People with power over the elements are called faeries.The only way to differentiate between a faerie and a human is that faeries have the color of their element in their hair and eyes. As a weilder of magic, Jake is one such faerie. He hides his true identity so he can live among humans without prejudice. Humans can't use magic but use special crystals to cast magic. Faeries must bask in the light of the full moon to recharge their lost power, during a ritual called Faerie Soiree, or Faerie Dance. Faeries in disguise hide their wings so they can escape notice. A faerie with control over one element is called a True Fae. There is only one True Fae of each element. Jake's true name is Ignis.
