Meet the Nightmare Critters: Baba Chops - The "black sheep" of the crew, quiet, distant, low-energy, and usually requires ALOT of coaxing to get her out of the house. Scent: Anise. Baby Rabie - Couldn't keep a secret if her life depended on it, she LOVES gossiping, and if she is in the room, she is eavesdropping on someone, she has no concept of privacy and boundaries, and if she runs out of juicy secrets, she'll just make stuff up! Scent: Bubblegum. Simon Smoke - Knows he's cool and popular, and he makes sure nobody ever forgets it, often shows-off to his friends and brags about his accomplishments, in truth, he's a colossal jerk, but he has a knack for getting away with being one. Scent: Wood Smoke. Touille - A self-proclaimed "Trash rodent", when he's not busy eating garbage, he is a conversationalist, if you ever need an "insightful" commentary or some random piece of junk, he's your guy. Scent: Petrichor. Icky Licky - The type of kid to fall back in a relay race, and IMMEDIATELY pin it on a sore leg, even when that's NOT the case, he's constantly challenging everyone on absolutely everything, and usually without the expected outcome (Don't worry, he has an excuse ready). Scent: Coffee. Allister Gator - An all-around lazy guy, chill, sure, but if he could, he'd spend ALL DAY in the water doing nothing, he believes in the philosophy; "Good things have to come ...Eventually. I just need to wait around for it." (He's STILL waiting). Scent: Sandalwood. Poe - He hates the sun, thinking it's a cruel trick by nature that the world needs it in the first place, they spend their nights, hanging around graveyards, listening to music, feeling vaguely angry at nothing in particular (They insist it isn't a phase). Scent: Cinnamon. Maggie Mako - Always thinking about her belly, and believe me, she is NOT picky. She LOVES sweets, but veggies? Yuck. Scent: Chocolate.

Sometime during or after the The Hour of Joy, Giblet had a few survivors in captivity. Bobby BearHug urged him to kill them. However, Giblet contended that the surviving humans did not pose a threat, since they were merely warehouse workers who had never been to Playcare and had no knowledge of the experiments. Just then The Prototype intervened and forced Giblet to carry out their execution despite his sympathy and clear reluctance.Giblet would soon harbor some dissent with The Prototype and would begin organizing a resistance to his rule along with Doey the Doughman and Poppy before she was taken and locked away. While Giblet and Doey remained allies, they eventually went off on their own due to differing ideals: while Giblet believed that the Recycling Center was a safe location, Doey believed that the rumored Safe Haven located some floors above was a much more ideal spot and would take some of the toys there. Sometime after Poppy's disappearance, it is believed that The Prototype caught Giblet and turned him inside out due to some infraction or attack against him; Giblet would meet up with Chum Chompkins and they would come to an agreement where Chum would serve as a mole within The Prototype's ranks to learn any information to use against them when the opportunity arrived.

Icky also emits the scent of coffee from the little spray applicator in his mouth.Icky Licky's cartoon appearance is roughly the same as his toy appearance, albeit with his zipper line removed, the addition of white pupils, and the zipper pendant now attached to a black necklace.

Their features extend to a dark purple beak, belly, and hindlimbs. In line with the other Nightmare Critters (and the Smiling Critters), Poe sports a perpetual wide toothless grin, their inner mouth shrouded in mysterious darkness. A black necklace gracefully adorns their center, showcasing a captivating thundercloud pendant with a yellow lightning bolt emerging from the bottom. They also have feathers protruding from the back of their head, in addition to two feathers at the front forming a little short feather cut. Poe also emits a cinnamon scent from the little spray applicator in their mouth. Poe hates the sun, and thinks it is a cruel trick of nature that the world needs it in the first place. Most comfortable in the dark, they spend their nights hanging around graveyards, listening to music, and feeling vaguely angry at nothing in particular. They insist it isn't a phase.
