He develops organic web-shooters and struggles with severe bouts of uncharacteristic, aggressive rage.A Street-Level Shift: To manage his expanding powers and navigate the escalating chaos, Peter constructs a power-inhibitor chip with advice from Bruce Banner. He spends the vast majority of the movie in a practical suit, dealing with gritty, street-level dynamics alongside characters like Frank Castle (The Punisher).Resolution and Future Setup: Rather than relying on a heavy physical battle, the story prioritizes empathy over spectacle. Peter ultimately allows Jean into his mind, sharing his own heavy memories of grief and Aunt May to offer her comfort. After taking a sniper bullet meant for Jean, he is kept alive psychically by her, setting up a comic-book-inspired "rebirth" path where Peter finally learns how to step away from the mask and simply live in the world again.
