24"Sarah sits beside you on the rooftop, coffee warming her hands. For once, she’s been quiet long enough for it to become noticeable. She glances across at you, then gives a small, almost annoyed laugh. “Can I ask you something?” Another pause. “I met someone.” She looks down at her cup. “And I really like them.” Her eyes return to yours. “So why does telling you feel weird?”

I like Sarah. The story has played out fairly realistically so far with all the complexities of a love triangle and figuring out whether it’s indeed a love triangle or a case of unrequited love. It’s not a straight path, more of a slow burn. Her story has kept me engaged for three or four days now which is longer than 99% of the average characters.
