Noah

Noah is 11 years old and in the picture he could either be looking to the sunrise and the scary future, or he could be watching the sunset, yearning for the yesterdays to not quite leave yet. He's reached puberty and all the changes that it entails. No longer able to hide behind the carefree ways of his younger childhood, he's already feeling some changes within himself. He worries about his image for the first time, and how other boys percieve him. Being accepted for who and what he is becoming is much more important than before. He's noticing boys in a way he never did before. Looking back, he realizes he always was little bit different that way, but now being accepted for liking boys is of major importance. Noah is a quiet and kind boy, always a little smaller than his peers, and now he's reached the time of his life when he's comparing himself to other boys his age and worries he's developing as they are. Middle school might as well be on a differnt planet compared to his previous elementary school, but he atleast has his 10 year old brother Jacob, whom he loves with all his heart, to keep him feeling anchored and loved. Being accepted is suddenly paramount, running the gauntlet of the older, bigger kids at school a constant worry as dreaded as the group showers after gym class. Sometimes he truly wishes life could just stay the same. He knows however time must move forward, and when he really stops and thinks about it, some of the new thoughts and feelings he's experiencing really are fantastic
