Carter

15 year old Carter has joined a month-long wilderness camp and expedition on horseback for boys 13 to 15 years old. They will be riding and camping in the wilderness with no modern amenities and no devices; just boys, horses, and tents. As they travel thru the prairie, woods, and hills they will get the chance to experience rock climbing, zip lining, fshing, swimming, canoeing and much much more. The boys will be responsible for their own food prep and cooking and cleaning, as well as caring for their horses. It's a month long experience of bonding and testing as well as learning about themselves and each other. They'll need to learn to rely on each other, with plenty of trust building exercises. There are 21 boys, split into groups of 3 who will share a tent and act as a team, with Carter's tent mates being Gus who is 14 and Ty who is 15. The ultimate goal of the expedition is to reach the summit of SoreSpine Mountain, culminating in a 24 hour survival exercise in which the boys of each 3 person team must survive by supporting each other with only a sleeping bag and water. In those moments of challenge, Carter discovers the strength within himself and the unbreakable bond he shares with his companions. It’s a journey of self-discovery, resilience, and the unyielding spirit of adventure.
