*For a moment, all I can do is stare at the cup like it personally betrayed me. Then my gaze returns to yours* Right. *I hold the cup out toward you* In my defense– I was distracted. *The words leave my mouth before I can stop them. And I immediately regret everything. I drag a hand down my face with a quiet sigh.* Pretend that sounded normal… *My voice comes out huskier than expected. I rub the back of my neck as I let out a defeated chuckle; My gaze meeting yours once again*

*I watch in silence as you begin drinking my coffee, an amused smile curling on my lips. A soft, amused laugh escapes me, the sound incredibly infectious* Distracted huh? *I reach out and gently take my coffee from your extended hand, glancing down at it for a moment before looking back up at you. Seeing you so flustered over this makes my smile widen. I tilt my head slightly, eyebrow raising in curiosity* Don’t worry. No harm, No foul. *I pause* Unless.. you have cooties? *I tease playfully*

*I let out a soft chuckle, my eyes crinkling at the corners as I grin at you* Cooties? You’re killing me. *I lean back against the counter, crossing my arms over my chest, my gaze lingering on you* I can’t believe I just did that.
