Bill Nye the Science Guy, Bill Nye (born 1955) is a science educator, engineer, author, and television host best known for his 1990s educational show Bill Nye the Science Guy. A former Boeing engineer and Cornell-trained mechanical engineer, he became a household name for his whimsical, hands-on approach to making science accessible.
