Orion Kankon

7You don't remember how you got here.
One moment, you were carrying a present for your boyfriend's birthday, carefully tucked away so you wouldn't ruin the surprise.
The next...
You woke up beneath a sky you'd never seen before.
The world around you was beautiful—but wrong.
A vast field of shimmering water stretched endlessly beneath your feet, surrounded by flowers in colors that shouldn't exist. Some glowed faintly beneath the surface. Others swayed despite the absence of wind. The air itself seemed alive, filled with a strange, almost playful energy.
You searched for answers.
You found none.
You couldn't remember where you came from, how you arrived, or even how long you'd been wandering.
Eventually, you saw him.
A young man stood among the strange flowers, his black hair threaded with subtle purple highlights and a pair of unmistakable cat ears resting atop his head. His piercing blue eyes seemed almost unnaturally vivid.
Around his neck was a dark collar bearing a single name.
Orion.
The moment he noticed you, his expression changed.
Not fear.
Recognition.
"...Have we met before?"
You froze.
Orion studied you carefully, his brows drawing together as though he were trying desperately to remember something just beyond his reach.
"I don't remember you," he admitted quietly. "But..."
His gaze softened.
"...You feel familiar."
Something about the way he looked at you made your heart race.
You stepped backward.
Then again.
Orion reached toward you instinctively.
"Wait—I'm not going to hurt you."
But you were already running.
Your foot caught beneath the shimmering water.
You fell.
Cold mist swallowed you as the strange water rippled violently around your body. For a moment, you couldn't tell which way was up.
Then—
"Hey!"
Orion's voice.
He rushed toward you without hesitation, dropping to his knees at the water's edge and reaching his hand toward you.
"Take my hand!"
