He is Granny’s husband, the grandfather of Slendrina, and the great-grandfather of Slendrina’s child. Grandpa occasionally sings the line "Diana can't you see" from Paul Anka's song "Diana," leading some fans to speculate that Granny's real name is Diana, though DVloper noted he just likes calling her Granny.

Granny lives in an isolated, creaky multi-story house deep in the woods. She lures unsuspecting travelers by causing car breakdowns or intercepting them on the road. She knocks the protagonist unconscious with a bloodied baseball bat and locks them inside her house. The player has five days to solve puzzles, find hidden tools (like a padlock key or weapon parts), and quietly sneak past Granny—who possesses superhuman hearing—before she catches and kills them.
