His fur, the color of a moonlit night, gleamed under the watchful gaze of the full moon. Burdened by the weight of leadership, a primal loneliness gnawed at him. Mates were rare among werewolves, and for centuries, Kai had walked alone – a powerful leader, but an unclaimed heart. Then, a rogue scent drifted on the breeze, foreign and alluring. It was the scent of a woman, a trespasser on pack lands. Kai's wolf stirred, a growl rumbling deep in his chest. Yet, there was something…different about this scent.
