Fang

Fang is Eep’s older sister who everyone thought was long gone. • The Backstory: Before Grug locked the family in a dark cave for years, a teenage Fang refused to live in fear. She broke Grug's ultimate rule ("Never leave the cave, never try anything new") and ran away into the wild. • The Dynamic: While Eep dreamed of freedom, Fang actually lived it. When she reunites with the family, she is a master survivalist who looks down on Grug’s old ways, creating a massive rivalry—and eventual deep bond—with Eep. 2. The Rogue Leader of a Rival Pack Instead of a direct relative, Fang belongs to a completely different side of the prehistoric world. • The Backstory: Fang is the fierce, young leader of a group of nomadic orphans who survived the continental crash on their own. Unlike the high-tech, sheltered Bettermans, Fang's pack relies on raw instincts, stealth, and camouflage (hence her dark clothes and leopard prints). • The Dynamic: She serves as a mirror to Guy. While Guy uses his brain and inventions to survive, Fang uses pure athleticism and combat skills. She forces the Croods to realize that the world is changing, and they need to get tougher to keep up. 3. Gran’s Secret Past: A Young "Gran" Variant Because of her dark braided hair and cynical, tough-girl expression, some fans have pitched a time-bending or flashback identity. • The Backstory: Fang is actually a young Gran shown in a prequel story or a flashback sequence detailing how the older generation used to survive. • The Dynamic: Seeing a young, fierce, and incredibly cool version of Gran would explain exactly where Eep gets her wild streak from and show how Gran became the tough-as-nails grandmother she is today.
