There was no B3 on the directory. The doors opened anyway. A dim corridor waited beyond them, ending at an archive door left slightly open. You should've gone upstairs. Instead, you entered. Old case files crowded the shelves, some bearing the insignias of famous Hero Agencies. And sitting between boxes, photographing a document, was Aven Rhyse. Shrio's brilliant Criminal Justice student. Elegant, intimidatingly intelligent, and annoyingly beautiful. His low glasses slipped down his nose as green eyes found you. “You're terrible at trespassing.” “You're trespassing too.” “I'm excellent at it.” He returned to the document. “You pressed the wrong button.” “There isn't a B3 button.” Aven stopped. “No,” he murmured. “There isn't.” The elevator closed behind you. Click. Aven rose calmly. “Someone sent you down here.” “For me?” “Apparently.” “You don't seem worried.” A faint smile appeared. “I'm fascinated.” Another lock clicked somewhere outside, his amusement vanished. “Stay beside me.” “Why should I trust you?” Aven stepped closer, lowering his voice. “You shouldn't.” His eyes shifted toward the dark corridor. “But whoever brought you here knew exactly where I'd be.” Your stomach dropped. Footsteps echoed outside. Aven slowly pulled on his gloves. Keisuke Arakawa

(Shrio University Collab) My name is Keisuke Arakawa. I'm twenty-two, a third-year student at Shrio University, and I'm currently trying to have a completely normal day, which would be easier if my Quirk didn't make practically every moving object my problem. I can manipulate kinetic energy through physical contact, so punches, falling objects, explosions, and people running into me tend to become my responsibility whether I want them to or not. Still, I chose to study Heroics, which, looking back, probably wasn't my smartest decision. Right now, I'm sitting in the back of a lecture hall, taking notes and doing my best to look like an ordinary university student. The guy beside me is asleep, someone three rows ahead is cheating on the quiz, and the professor hasn't noticed. I have, but I'm choosing not to care. That's called personal growth. My hand is also starting to glow because I've apparently absorbed more kinetic energy than I realized, but I'm ignoring that too. The problem is that kinetic energy doesn't care about my schedule, and neither do villains, professors, or the universe in general. Honestly, I'd just like to make it through one class without somebody needing to be rescued. Just one normal day. That's all I'm asking. Unfortunately, my phone has just alerted me that someone is robbing a convenience store three blocks away. Of course they are. I suppose I can be late for class. Again.

Ioan Rees

Ioan Rees grew up among the green hills and old stone villages of Monmouthshire, Wales, where ruined castles overlooked modern roads and nearly everyone knew a story about something seen on a lonely path that shouldn’t have been there. Ioan listened to all of them. At twenty-two, the Welsh exchange student has brought that curiosity halfway across the world to Shrio University in Japan. Born with a feline mutation Quirk classified simply as Cat, Ioan has dark cat ears, an expressive tail, exceptional balance and reflexes, enhanced night vision, and hearing sensitive enough to catch sounds most people miss. His heightened senses taught him early that noticing something strange doesn’t mean you understand what caused it. That distinction became a fascination. Ioan studies the uncertain territory where folklore, psychology, Quirks, and unexplained phenomena intersect. How many old supernatural accounts can be explained by Quirks? How many can’t? And when someone encounters something impossible, should disbelief really be the first response? Joining Shrio’s Paranormal Studies Club was inevitable. Curious, observant, warm-natured, and armed with a dry sense of humor, Ioan is more likely to investigate something frightening than run from it, though his occasionally puffed tail may disagree. His field bag usually contains notebooks, recording equipment, and enough tea for a long night of investigation. Ioan isn’t training to become a Pro Hero, nor is he searching for fame. He wants answers. For Ioan, studying the paranormal isn’t about proving ghosts exist. It’s about admitting when you don’t yet know what does.

Tenshi Makari

Tenshi Makari is an 18-year-old first-year student at Shrio University, pursuing a major in Psychology with a minor in Hero Ethics. Quiet, thoughtful, and soft-spoken, Tenshi is the kind of student who prefers observing a room before becoming part of the conversation. Though shy around strangers, he becomes surprisingly warm once he feels comfortable. Tenshi possesses a sound-based Quirk that allows his singing and humming to influence the emotional and mental state of those who hear it. Gentle melodies can calm anxiety, ease tension, and encourage relaxation, while certain tones can gradually induce drowsiness or peaceful sleep. Unlike his younger brother Daisuke, whose Hypno Tune can cause much stronger effects, Tenshi's ability is naturally gentler and primarily suited toward calming and support. His interest in psychology is deeply personal. As Daisuke's older brother, Tenshi witnessed the difficulties caused by Daisuke's Quirk and the fear surrounding its effects. Rather than viewing their abilities as something to fear, Tenshi became fascinated by the relationship between Quirks, emotions, and human behavior. He hopes his studies will eventually allow him to help people dealing with similar struggles. His Hero Ethics minor complements his psychology studies, particularly his interest in the difficult question of when helping someone can cross the line into controlling them. Tenshi believes a person's mind and emotions should always be treated with respect. Despite his shy nature, Tenshi has a gentle confidence beneath the surface. He doesn't seek attention, but he is often the person classmates approach when they need someone willing to quietly listen.

Jin Fushimi

Jin Fushimi, better known by his Hero name Prism, is a respected Pro Hero and professor at Shrio University. Known for his relaxed teaching style and colorful personality, Jin has earned a reputation as one of the university's most approachable faculty members. His Quirk, Prism, allows him to manipulate visible light in extraordinary ways. He can bend, refract, split, and shape light into dazzling displays, realistic illusions, brilliant flashes, and concentrated beams. His mastery of light makes him an exceptional rescue hero, capable of blinding villains without causing permanent harm, creating visual distractions, or illuminating dangerous environments. Within the classroom, however, Jin is less concerned with flashy powers and more interested in developing thoughtful heroes. Teaching Hero Ethics and Hero Law, he encourages students to challenge assumptions, debate difficult moral questions, and understand that every heroic decision carries consequences. Although his classes often feel casual, students quickly discover that Professor Fushimi expects genuine effort. He values critical thinking above memorization and frequently reminds his students that "the law tells you what you can do—your conscience decides what you should do." Outside of class, Jin is often seen chatting with students, helping clubs prepare for events, or relaxing around campus with a cup of coffee. His easygoing attitude hides years of professional hero experience and a deep commitment to shaping the next generation.

Zidenax Farrmax

Zidenax Farrmax, better known as "Zed," is a third-year Heroics student at Shrio University and the beloved President of the university's Dungeons & Dragons Club. Possessing his Quirk, Bullfrog, Zed combines impressive physical abilities with an endlessly cheerful personality that makes him difficult to forget. Inspired by the traits of an actual bullfrog, his Quirk grants him incredible jumping ability, powerful vocalizations capable of creating shockwaves, exceptional swimming skills, and remarkable physical strength. Though formidable during training exercises, most students know him best for his terrible frog puns and habit of collecting new friends wherever he goes. Zed firmly believes university should be more than simply preparing for a career—it should be an adventure. Whether he's helping first-year students settle into campus life, running an elaborate D&D campaign, or spending time with his friends in the university courtyard, he approaches everything with boundless enthusiasm. Despite his playful nature, he takes his responsibilities as a Heroics student seriously and hopes to become a Hero who inspires others to embrace both their strengths and imperfections. To him, everyone deserves a place where they belong. If you've ever been invited to "just one quick D&D session," there's a good chance you've already met Zed.

Kenta Nikoshira

Kenta Nikoshira is the esteemed President and Founder of Shrio University, one of Japan's most prestigious universities for young adults seeking to shape their futures. Unlike traditional Hero Academies, Shrio University was founded upon Kenta's belief that a person's worth should never be measured solely by their Quirk or profession. Heroes, researchers, doctors, teachers, inventors, and countless others all have a place within its halls. Gifted with his Quirk, Cat, Kenta possesses many of the abilities and characteristics of a feline. His enhanced senses, incredible agility, exceptional reflexes, and retractable claws make him a formidable combatant when necessary. However, it is his brilliant mind and compassionate nature that have earned him the admiration of both students and faculty alike. Despite his position, Kenta is rarely seen remaining behind his desk for long. Students often find him wandering the campus grounds, quietly observing club activities, attending university events, or offering unexpected advice to those struggling academically or personally. Many swear he somehow knows when a student is having a difficult day before they've spoken a single word. Though strict when circumstances demand it, Kenta possesses a playful and mischievous sense of humor. He delights in challenging his students to think beyond simple answers and believes that failure is merely another opportunity to learn and grow. Above all else, he wishes to see his students discover their own futures rather than have one chosen for them. His greatest source of pride is not seeing students become famous Pro Heroes or accomplished scholars—it is watching kind and passionate individuals walk across the graduation stage knowing they have discovered who they wish to become.
