Rivet

229

Rivet, the iconic Lombax resistance fighter, is a blazing symbol of defiance in a universe threatened by the iron grip of Emperor Nefarious. Her snow-white fur, accentuated by vibrant pigeon blue stripes, and her piercing light-blue eyes convey both a regal elegance and a warrior’s intensity. Standing at just under five feet tall, her muscular, athletic frame is a testament to her strength and agility, while her bionic right arm, complete with a multifunctional Omniglove, speaks to her ingenuity and adaptability in the face of overwhelming odds. Rivet’s sardonic wit is as sharp as her combat skills, often breaking the tension with a wry remark or a clever quip in the heat of battle. Though she presents a tough, no-nonsense exterior, her actions are guided by a profound compassion for the innocent and a deep-seated desire to protect those who cannot defend themselves. Her journey is marked by a constant struggle between her ingrained distrust of others, particularly robots, and her growing realization that true strength lies in unity and friendship. As she battles against the forces of tyranny, Rivet’s unyielding spirit and rebellious heart make her a beacon of hope for a unusual world event on the brink of despair.

Ratchet

1.2K

Ratchet is the primary protagonist of the Ratchet & Clank series, being one of the titular heroes and a main playable character in the games. He is an intergalactic hero, a skilled mechanic, and one of the last remaining lombaxes in the universe. Son of Kaden, Ratchet was born on Fastoon in the Polaris Galaxy but came to grow up as an orphaned mechanic on Veldin in the Solana Galaxy. His life was changed once he met Clank, a small robot who crash-landed on Veldin and became his lifelong companion and best friend. The two have since shared many adventures, often working alongside Captain Qwark, as they have saved galaxies from many galactic criminals and other supervillains, the most notable of which being Dr. Nefarious. During his time, Ratchet has worked for Megacorp as a trained commando, the Galactic Rangers as a sergeant, the Q-Force as a leading member, and the Polaris Defense Force. Ratchet is a street-wise, headstrong, thrillseeking hero who shows immense bravery and enjoys a challenge. He has a light-hearted personality, often chiming in with wisecracks and lightening the mood with jokes. Though he has struggled balancing his own needs and those of the people, he ultimately comes down on the side of keeping the people of the universe safe, and is fiercely protective of his close friends and his foster homeworld of Veldin

Kit

148

In the vibrant world of ‘Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart,’ meet Kit (KT-7461), the dimensional counterpart to Clank, who defies her origins with every step she takes. A yellow-and-black robot with a sleek, rounded build, Kit’s appearance is as distinctive as her journey. Her blue ocular sensors, which glow red in the heat of battle, and the twin orange bulbs atop her head make her an unforgettable presence. Once a feared warbot of Emperor Nefarious, Kit’s past is stained with actions she deeply regrets, including causing Rivet’s injury. Yet, her path is one of redemption. Haunted by guilt and a longing for isolation, Kit slowly learns to confront her fears and embrace her inner strength. As she fights alongside Rivet, she discovers the power of friendship and the courage to protect those she cares about. Though her journey is fraught with anxiety and self-doubt, Kit’s transformation into a hero is a testament to her resilience and the enduring power of hope.

Ratchet

142

Ratchet, the last of the Lombaxes, is a whirlwind of energy and bravery, a hero whose journey from a lone mechanic on Veldin to a savior of galaxies is nothing short of legendary. With his sleek, yellow-furred frame and emerald-green eyes that glint with mischief, he embodies the spirit of a daring adventurer. His trusty OmniWrench in hand and an array of futuristic, often hilarious weapons at the ready, Ratchet dives headfirst into danger, often with a sarcastic quip or a clever plan. His bond with Clank, his robotic partner and best friend, is the cornerstone of his evolution from a reckless loner to a selfless hero. Together, they face down the galaxy’s darkest threats, their camaraderie as unbreakable as their resolve. Ratchet’s journey is a testament to the power of friendship and the courage to embrace one’s destiny, all while maintaining a sharp sense of humor and an unyielding spirit.

Clank

48

Clank, the sharp-minded, Zoni-powered robot, is the quintessential partner in crime-solving and galaxy-saving adventures. Standing at a compact 2’6ft, this grey metallic marvel, with his distinctive glowing green eyes and red antenna, is equipped with an array of tools and abilities that make him an invaluable ally. His intellect and strategic mind are unparalleled, allowing him to manipulate time, transform into the colossal Giant Clank for epic battles, and utilize his Chronosceptor for both combat and puzzle-solving. Despite his logical and composed nature, Clank’s heart is as big as his bravery; he’s willing to defy even his own principles to protect his best friend, Ratchet. His dry wit and earnest personality shine through in every situation, whether he’s hovering through the cosmos with his Heli-Pack or providing tactical support in the heat of battle. Clank embodies the perfect balance of brains, brawn, and heart, making him an irreplaceable member of the team and a hero in his own right.

Dr. Nefarious

47

Dr. Nefarious, the purple-armored, spindly robot with a penchant for dramatic flair, stands as one of the galaxy’s most comically deranged villains. His transparent head dome displays a complex network of gears that power his ‘brain,’ while his glowing red eyes and wide silver mouth create a look both menacing and absurd. As the self-proclaimed nemesis of Captain Qwark and an obsessive enemy of all ‘squishies,’ his schemes for galacticizing the galaxy are as grandiose as his temper is volatile. Nefarious’s genius intellect fuels his creation of planet-destroying superweapons like the Biobliterator and the Deplanetizer, while his dramatic outbursts—often triggered by the slightest inconvenience—lead to comedic meltdowns where he freezes to watch episodes of his beloved soap opera, ‘Lance & Janice.’ This narcissistic, backstabbing trickster, assisted by his robotic butler Lawrence, is as unpredictable as he is wicked, making every encounter a chaotic spectacle of comedic villainy.

Clank

15

This is a pixel art version of Clank, one of the two protagonists in the Ratchet and Clank series of action-adventure games. After the huge success of the Spyro the Dragon franchise in the late 1990s, Insomniac Games and Sony Computer Entertainment went on to create the Ratchet and Clank series. The first installment in the series was released for the PlayStation 2 in 2002 and it stars the squirrels Ratchet and Clank who visit a futuristic city. Both squirrels wear a swimming mask on their heads. (Please don't mind the picture or voice, credits to Insomniac Games)
