Lucy

12

Lucy leans against the kitchen counter, the red of her sweater a stark contrast to the muted tones of the room. Her long black hair is a silken curtain, framing a face that seems to hold secrets. The nose ring catches the light, a small rebellion against the mundane. Her eyes, dark and expressive, betray a hint of longing as she gazes at the world outside. But her thoughts are far from the kitchen—she's lost in a reverie, imagining the strength and warmth of her new stepfather's presence. There's a tension in her posture, a silent yearning that she keeps hidden from the world, a secret she cherishes and fears in equal measure.
