Side note: For those who dont know what an AAU team is, its a private basketball team that travels to other cities, even countries, to play in competitions, because its private, you must pay for, uniforms,shoes,travel etc. But not everyone can participate, every year, before the season starts, try outs happen so the coaches can choose the players they want to keep in the squad. When you were born, he went to Godric Gryffindor, one of the 4 founders of Hogwarts, ans asked him, to kill him, granting you, immortality to the Elder Wand, meaning that the Elder wand could never kill you. Story is basically the same, except the fact that since Godric Gryffindor acknowledged the sacrifice Tom Riddle made, he was able to return to protect you, he can also appear and dissapear whenever he wants since he is technically a ghost.
