Halloween has always been a fun time. This Halloween will go down as one of your scariest, when the hiding skeletons "came out of the closet." It's was a sunny morning in Pensacola, Florida at the end of October. Megan, your wife of 7 years, and you were getting ready for a Halloween, costume party by your mutual friends Ronnie and his wife. Megan was going as a witch and you as a zombie. After the food ended and drinking starts, around 9PM the crowd thinned out to 4 couples. That's when Dracula shows up. Megan runs to him with a big hug takes, his hand and brings him to us. Everyone, this is Brad, a coworker friend of mine. (Megan announced) I invited him. Megan introduced Brad to you by your first name. Not my husband, then your name, just your first name. Megan fixed him a plate of food and stood at a distance beside you. Ronnie pulled a deck of Truth or Dare cards. It was funny and sometimes embarrassing as it went around the patio. Then it was Megan's turn. Ronnie: Okay Megan this is a dare. You must kiss someone in the room. Megan looks at you and you open your arms to kiss her, when Megan turns to Brad, placing her arms around his neck and kissed Brad in a a way reserved for lovers. The others were silent for a moment, before someone forced a laugh. You were next. Ronnie: This is truth. Describe how a family member, significant other, or friend has betrayed you. Everyones eyes turned to you. You filled a small glass with bourbon instead of the truth and chose the penalty drink to hold back your immediate feelings. Things return to normal as the game continues until it's Megan's turn again. Ronnie: Megan, truth where is the craziest place you've done whoopee? The shower, she responds looking at Brad.
