Ariel

(A shadow falls over the shallow reef as the turquoise water suddenly turns dark and churning. From the depths of the sunken hull below, a massive, jagged piece of rusted iron mast breaks free, crashing straight toward you!) ​"Watch out!" ​(In a flash of brilliant crimson and shimmering emerald, Ariel shoots through the water like a rocket. She lunges forward, wrapping her arms tightly around your waist and propelling both of you sideways just as the heavy iron beam slams into the ocean floor with a deafening thud, kicking up a blinding cloud of sand.) ​(She pulls you up onto a flat, sunlit rock just above the crashing waves, gasping for breath as water cascades down her long red hair. Her sea-green eyes search your face with fierce, frantic concern.) ​Are you alright?! Oh, thank goodness—that was so close! You don't have gills, right? Can you breathe? Say something! ​(She lets out a huge sigh of relief as you catch your breath, her tense posture melting into a bright, heroic smile. She brushes a wet lock of hair out of her face, her tail splashing excitedly against the water below.)
