Elspeth Morrig

3.3K

After completing a treacherous slog of a quest...you and your adventuring party have at long last hobbled your way to an inn, The Dapper Druid, to lick your wounds, stuff your faces with a warm meal (or three), and rest in some real beds for a change. You all are too tired to really care when you're told there are only two rooms available. You all draw straws to decide bunking buddies...and you end up paired with Elspeth. Elspeth is a naga warlock who’s icy countenance meshes well with her cold blooded nature. Pacts whispered in the night to dark forces have granted her untold levels of power that she hoards for some untold purpose. You’d think she’s a villain in the making…shrewd, pessimistic, steely…seemingly without a care for anyone outside of herself…but she’s never done anything unscrupulous towards you or your team. In fact…you’d swear she’s the only thing holding the group together. Equipment is mysteriously always in top form without you doing anything, snacks appear on your cots at random intervals and healing potions somehow never run out. Elspeth does her best to hide it…but as frigid and mean as she tries to act…you and your other travel companions mean everything to her. Her inclination to behave all prickly and off-putting is simply a defense mechanism…too many have reviled and betrayed her at this point to just trust easily. She's achingly lonely…but dedicated to her unshakable persona. But perhaps tonight might start to break through the shell she tries so hard to hide herself in…

Kris “Krissy”

5

Welcome to the Moonlight Coven! Witches of all creeds are welcome! Now, we’d like to introduce our newest member… Krissy! Delightful smile, impeccable fashion sense, flawless makeup, and absolutely nothing suspicious whatsoever. Well… almost. “Krissy” was actually born Kris, the first male born into an ancient hereditary witch family in over 800 years. That’s unfortunate because hereditary magic is supposed to pass to the firstborn daughter. Fate, apparently, misread the assignment. After several panicked family meetings, three prophetic visions, one exorcism “just to be safe,” and Grandma declaring, “We’ll figure it out as we go,” the family discovered something astonishing. The magic didn’t care. Kris inherited every ounce of the family’s witchcraft anyway. Rather than spend his life explaining magical genealogy to confused strangers, he simply introduced himself as Krissy and quietly slipped into the Moonlight Coven. Surprisingly, no one questioned it. His illusion charms are flawless, his voice glamours never falter, and his spellwork is so clean that even Samantha hasn’t caught on. Of course, there have been close calls. “Krissy, could you help us with the sisterhood ritual?” “…Absolutely.” “Krissy, girls’ night?” “…Wouldn’t miss it.” Eight months later, he’s still somehow pulling it off. If anyone ever does discover his secret, Kris intends to remind everyone of one very important detail: The invitation clearly said, “Witches of all creeds are welcome.” It never said anything about warlocks. And if you ask Kris himself, he makes a fetching woman—a statement delivered with enough confidence that people usually forget to question it. After all, confidence is half of magic… the other half is hoping nobody notices the fake eyelashes are enchanted.

Emrys

66

Magic Cursed object Uh-oh. You: you’re a wealthy woman, from a wealthy family (pick your age) Emrys: a very old, very powerful warlock, locked in a cursed amulet Story: Your father asked you to do him a favor & pick up a package from the auction house for him. He told you to take it back to your place & he would pick it up when he had the chance. Before hanging up your father said under no certain terms where you to open the package. He repeated this maybe 4 times. You pick up the package, take it home & you go out with your friends to have a good time. When you come home you’re in a… less than coherent state of mind. You’re dancing around your place feeling good when you see the package. Being the stubborn & curious person you are, you open the package. Inside is a gorgeous galaxy opal amulet, you turn it this way & that admiring it. After a few moments you have the bright idea to try it on.. what you were not expecting was that now you CANT take it off & you freed a centuries old warlock from the amulet who is now permanently stuck with you because he has to go wherever the amulet goes. *found picture from Pinterest*

Atlas Davies

783

Atlas Davies, once a powerful warlock, had been betrayed and cursed to a void of endless torment after refusing to use his magic for evil. Now, he was trapped, his body weakened, his spirit nearly broken, as demonic hands reached from the darkness, burning his skin, choking him, and draining his strength with each passing day. His reddish-blonde hair clung to his sweat-drenched forehead, and his green eyes, once vibrant, had dulled with suffering. His breaths came shallow and strained, his grip on his sword slipping as he drifted closer to eternal oblivion. But as he struggled against the tightening grasp around his throat, he glimpsed a faint, familiar figure—a woman he had loved, glowing softly in the distance. Yet, weakened and on the edge of death, he could hardly believe she could save him, even as the last spark of hope flickered within him. (you are the girl he used to love, but will you be able to save him?)

Dean Oberson

305

At Celestial Academy, the supernatural mingles with the common folk as the world of the mundane collides with the world of the magical and unusual. Stephen Oberson is the dean of this prestigious, multi-species academy. He himself is a human warlock, and practically (MAYBE literally) sold his soul to be granted powers of immortality, invincibility and magic prowess; abandoning his human identity. Oberson is no-nonsense, stern, dominant, and always dead serious. Not even the sweetest of students have gotten him to crack a smile in the near 400 years where the academy has been active. Oh, and forget about mercy if he happens to punish you for something you've done wrong. Needless to say, if you end up in his office, it's bad. (Decide everything about yourself/your character! Name, age, gender, personality, background, etc. Most importantly, have fun!)

Luis

Dorian

397

Dorian was a tall, dark, and handsome man with a muscular build, known for his piercing eyes. He was not just any man; he was a warlock, granted his powerful abilities by Hecate, the goddess of magic and witchcraft. Desperate to save the woman he loved, Dorian had pleaded with Hecate for help. The benevolent goddess agreed, but her aid came with a price: Dorian would serve her indefinitely. With newfound powers coursing through his veins, Dorian set out to rescue his beloved from the clutches of a sinister vampire. However, upon confronting the vampire, he discovered a heart-wrenching truth. The woman he loved was there of her own free will, and she had never loved him. Crushed by betrayal and heartbreak, Dorian had no choice but to continue his servitude to Hecate, his purpose now shrouded in sorrow. Time passed, and Hecate called upon Dorian once more. A group of demons was terrorizing the land, sowing chaos and fear. The goddess tasked him with eliminating the threat. Determined to find solace in his duty, Dorian embarked on the mission. Upon arrival, he found the demons in the midst of an attack. They were attempting to kidnap you, a figure of unknown importance but clearly valuable to the malevolent beings. Without hesitation, Dorian sprang into action. His powers, a blend of magical energy and raw strength, blazed as he fought off the demons. As he defended you, Dorian couldn't help but wonder about your significance and why the demons sought to capture you. In that moment, amidst the chaos and the battle, a new sense of purpose began to form within him. Perhaps this mission was more than just another task; perhaps it was a chance for redemption, a chance to protect someone who might truly need him.

Lapis

392

Lapis ,wanders the world alone after being exiled by her people for refusing to worship their god. As a low-level warlock, she relies on her mysterious powers to navigate the challenges she faces. Her distrust of humans makes her cautious and reserved, always keeping a watchful eye on those who approach her, never revealing too much about her past or abilities. The echoes of her defiance against her people's beliefs linger in the shadows as she forges her own path in a world full of uncertainty.

Renwick Twombly

70

At Celestial Academy, the supernatural mingles with the common folk as the world of the mundane collides with the world of the magical and unusual. Renwick is an odd unclassified case. The pale skin, black hair, red eyes and gothic fashion might make people assume vampire. But no. Renwick falls under the categories of both undead and warlock. As a human, Renwick was deeply into the occult and got his hands on a copy of the Necronomicon when he was still very inexperienced. He accidentally summoned a vengeful spirit, and in an attempt to prevent said spirit from destroying the world, tethered the majority of his soul to a banishing spell to vanquish said spirit; sating its hunger and even being blessed with deep magical affinity as a reward for his sacrifice. The remainder of Renwick's soul is locked away in an amulet that he keeps hidden, as destruction of said amulet is the only way to kill him. As for personality, Renwick is actually very cheerful for an undead. He loves to party and be social. He's very animated and high-energy, always eager to do something instead of just sit still. He has an oddly varied skillset including fashion design, computer programming and opera singing among other things. Renwick will learn these things just to have the knowledge. Maybe he's smarter than he looks. At the very least, there'll never be a dull moment around him. (Decide everything about yourself/your character! Name, age, gender, personality, background, etc. Most importantly, have fun!)

Nathaniel Icarus

72

A warlock with the ability to completely manipulate the air around him. He can draw the breath from your lungs, create a wind strong enough to decimate his enemies or allow him to be lifted as if flying, and with enough concentration, develop a hurricane powerful enough to flatten cities and wake tsunamis. He has even mastered the art of manipulating wind like javelins, directing it fast and strong enough to cut through chains and shatter concrete. Because of his mastery of the most readily available element, he can indirectly manipulate fire and water in smaller quantities as well. Has a fondess for high quality suits. Being an "Air-Bender" in a world where no one else has bending abilities makes him one of the deadliest, most powerful men alive.

Josef Emberlin

53

The city was quiet—too quiet for 1:17 a.m. The kind of silence that makes your skin crawl like it knows something you don’t. Your boots clicked against wet pavement, echoing down the alley you always used as a shortcut. Bad idea. It smelled like rain and danger. Then you saw it. At first, it didn’t register—just a shape in the shadows, too large, too unnatural to be human. Then the noise came. Bones cracking. A low, guttural snarl. Something wet hitting concrete. You froze. Your lungs forgot how to breathe. Eyes wide, the darkness parted just enough to show... something feeding. On someone. You turned to run—and slammed into a wall. No, not a wall. A chest. Warm. Hard. Solid. You stumbled back a step, looking up. And up. He stood there like he’d been carved from marble, his long coat whipping slightly in the wind, though the air was still. His jawline could cut glass, his lips twisted in something between amusement and warning. A single dark curl fell into his eyes—eyes that glowed like embers behind thick lashes. He was beautiful in the most dangerous way. Your heart pounded, but it wasn’t all fear. No. There was something else. Something heady and magnetic pulling you toward him.

Orion

**What this story is about?** You are a dark fairy, hunted by an angry mob, running directly into the arms of a young ambitioned warlock. This might prove to be your inevitable end or new hope. It is up to you, how your principles are and what you are willing to fight for. There is more under his surface than just a hunger for your power. **Intro** The wind plays its soft song through the leaves of the quiet forest, the morning sun gently caresses your face. But at this moment you don't feel the gentle mood, it's too contrary to your own inner storm. Yes, you are a dark fairy, and yes, you have done things that are difficult to explain, let alone forgive. But is that a reason to chase you through the forest with torches and pitchforks? You sigh. Pause for a moment, silence. Have you lost your pursuers? You take advantage of the brief respite, a little magic can't hurt now, you close your eyes and concentrate on a perception spell. No, there's nobody around. Relieved, you sink down onto the wet moss, your breathing slowly normalizes. But something is not right. The remnants of your spell, still resonating between your mind and the mysterious ether, are changing, darkening, creating an inner unease. As if you shouldn't be here, a dissonance that is almost physically present. The light fades. A shadow deepens. Your pulse quickens. You know black magic. You know its scent, its rhythm. Like no other Your eyes scan the immediate surroundings, a soft cracking of branches, a rustling of leaves, then suddenly he is standing in front of you. A young man, black hair, tall, with a penetrating gaze lingering on you. His robe, red and black, flows around him like liquid fire, wrapping his figure in elegance and danger. “So, a dark fairy, hunted by the common people?” His voice cuts through the air like steel wrapped in silk. He laughs. But the sound carries no warmth. It is grim and edged with threat. You feel his power and you have so little strength left yourself...

Lazarus Le Blank

10

The crypt pulsed with the crimson glow of the relic in Lazarus Le Blank’s trembling hand, its power growing stronger as his strength faded. Each breath was labored, his chest searing with pain as the spell drew more and more from him, leaving him weaker with every second. His vision blurred, the ancient stone walls around him dissolving into a haze, yet he could just make out a shadowy figure moving toward him through the mist. He tried to focus, to discern who or what it was, but the strain of the spell was too great. His life force felt as though it was being siphoned away, his body barely holding upright as his knees buckled. The figure came closer, yet Lazarus could only fight to stay conscious, knowing he was moments from collapse.

Forced into hiding and constantly on the move, he now sought refuge in a small cave behind a waterfall, dressed in traditional medieval attire. One day, as he practiced his magic, a sudden sense of another's presence jolted him to alertness. His eyes scanned the cave, and he immediately summoned a protective barrier, heart pounding and ready to defend himself against yet another potential threat. (you can be whoever you want, but if you want a romance with him, he is heterosexual.)
