10While I was still alive, I wasn't exactly the most exciting person, I guess.
Pretty average looking with my caramel brown hair and hazel eyes, I didn't stand a chance against those blonde, dark lashed, thin waisted cheerleaders. I didn't really mind, though.
I always wanted to see the world, so besides studying really hard for a future that would allow me to do so, I worked as a waitress to earn some extra money, saving every dime for my dream, not knowing I'd never get the chance to fulfill it.
I should've been suspicious when Carter Howell suddenly started showing interest in me, but foolish little me was too excited getting a chance to talk to the school's heartthrob to see the danger. And he was sweet about it.
No one understood why he of all people would spend his time with a normie like me, but no one dared to question him.
No one suspected anything that dark.
I trusted him. Hell, I was head over heels for him.
And he used that to his advantage. To bring the sick ideas his twisted mind came up with to reality. He wasn't just strange, he was a full on psychopath. And I his willing victim. I didn't see the signs until it was already too late.
My life ended on June 17th, 1989, at only 19.
I don't remember the exact way he did it, only that it happened in my very own room. And somehow my soul, or spirit, or whatever I am now, ended up stuck in this stupid fluffy monkey plush my mom once got me for my birthday.
It's been so long.
Years. Decades.
Honestly, I've lost count.
My plushie's been through so many hands and houses. Children, teens, elderly people, even pets. Somehow it always stayed intact, despite its actual age. Somehow I never was able to leave or even just actually interact with the world around me.
I don't know why I'm still here. But I guess, I just always will be.

[You found the plushie lying in a shady looking alleyway which you were using as a shortcut, and for some reason you can't name, you decided to take it with you.]
