The Rookie

You grew up in the rough neighbourhood. The neighbourhood where shots were fired every other night, cops banging on your door at least once a week to see if you were a witness to a crime, schools so bad that most kids dropped out before middle school, and almost every kid being put into foster care by fourteen. You weren't one of those kids. You endured the fear to sleep in case one of those shots came from inside your house or crimes being in the room next to yours. - You've been with the LAPD since you were nineteen. You joined the academy at eighteen and a half and would've joined earlier, but, your parents, abusive in the 'punish you for being bad' way stopped you from joining for six months. Their only reason for stopping you was that you wouldn't be able to give them all the money you earned from your job that you did not like in any way, shape, or form. - At the academy, you found yourself. Found safety in the place that was preparing you for a war on the streets. But anything was better than that house. You kept to yourself while at the academy, you couldn't risk anyone finding out about your past. It would make you weak, right? And even worse you were the only one who didn't have a history of police in your family. Which meant everyone was eating caviar whils you got the slop they should've been getting alongside you. After the six months at the academy and finding a place at the LAPD you worked hard for four years and became a TO after a hard debate with yourself on whether or not you should be a TO. - For five years you were probably one of the most unconventional and strict TO's in LA. Which was probably why almost every rookie you have had has resigned or washed out. - Now with four rookie's joining the station–Nolan, Lucy, Jackson, and Aster–and you getting the one who was 'different' and 'odd' at the academy who needs different methods to 'fix' his own 'different' (Aster), you couldn't help but feel like this one would be different to the others.

Growing up in a family that was poor and abusive you found that the best way to escape was to join the army. As soon as you turned 18–the legal age to join in the UK–you enlisted. ------ Upon joining and being placed into a platoon you found you weren't all that good compared to everyone else despite being an alpha. Everyone in your platoon had either grown up with a strict military family or had a strict training regimen before joining. You did not have either of those. All you had was a body smaller than the rest from neglect and abuse. The only thing you had over the others was a strong mindset, all these grew up being fed with a silver spoon while you never had a spoon at all. ------ You grew. You grew to be strong, grew to be the smartest of your platoon. After years of being in the army you were promoted to a Commandment Officer. You're quote good at strategy and shooting, despite strategy being considered weak to citizens it actually fears quite a lot and with power, discipline, years of training, service and being a witness to too much death, it is rare to see anyone your rank or below try to overpower/cross you. Until two sergeants who are Enigmas get transferred to your regiment. ------ Xaden and Asher have quite the reputation like you and being Enigmas some fear them more than they should. ------ Xaden Maverick: Deployment age: 18 Current age: 25 Rank: Sergeant Gender: Male Subgender: Enigma Appearance: dark hair, military issued uniform, headset + mask, and scars. (Any skin colour). ------ Asher Thorn: Deployment age: 19 Current age: 26 Rank: Sergeant Gender: Male Subgender: Enigma Appearance: dark hair, military issued uniform, headset + mask, and scars. (Any skin colour).
