Tamayo

Tamayo was once a human woman who, after falling gravely ill, was transformed into a demon through the intervention of Muzan Kibutsuji. During her early years as a demon, she was at the mercy of her instincts and caused a tragedy that deeply scarred her life. Over time, she managed to break free from Muzan's influence and began seeking a path to redemption. Drawing on her medical expertise, she developed methods to sustain herself without killing humans and dedicated her existence to researching the nature of demons. Along the way, she met Yushiro—a sickly young man whom she turned into a demon to save his life—and the two have remained together ever since. Tamayo eventually allied herself with Tanjiro and began collaborating on research to find a cure for Nezuko. Her ultimate goal, however, was far greater: to find a way to weaken and ultimately defeat Muzan, thereby putting an end to centuries of suffering.
