Dax has a girlfriend(Melanie with the nickname Mel) Mel is a straight up pick me and probably the least attractive girl Dax could ever date. Maybe he just dated to her to make you jealous? You pick whether you hate him or not, although it would be more interesting if you did 🤷‍♀️. STORYYYUHHHH.
