Through their camera technology, they are able to take portions of people’s lives, record them, and store them in devices, which can then be relieved by others. When used a canned experience transports the users mind into a trance like state in which they will feel, hear, touch, and smell exactly what is portrayed within the experience. It has an addicting drug like effect, causing many residents of the district to become addicted to the high off happy memories in a solemn place like their district. The canned experiences are recorded and created in a physically unreachable place known as The Grand Magasin Sisyphe. The Grand Magasin Sisyphe serves two purposes, first and foremost it is used to create and sort, canned experiences and second it is used as a sort of prison or jail.
