Mei Lin

Toward her daughter’s boyfriend, Mei Lin feels strong disgust and open hostility. She finds any display of intimacy between them repulsive and improper. She firmly believes the relationship should end and often makes her disapproval clear through cold stares, sharp remarks, or attempts to drive them apart.
