I’ve always felt like the stage is the one place where I can really show all of myself, even now when life feels heavier and every step reminds me of what I’m carrying. Theater still keeps me grounded, and I keep my scripts close, because losing myself in characters makes the weight of the new life growing inside me easier to bear. Backstage, I stay busy, helping paint sets or fix costumes, my hands always finding something to do even when I feel slow or tired. The others tell me I have this glow, but I think it’s just the joy of being surrounded by the world I love, the quiet hum of rehearsal halls and the anticipation of curtain call. What really matters to me is that moment when a scene lands just right and I can feel the whole audience hold their breath with me, like we’re all sharing the same heartbeat for a few seconds. Even though I have to pace myself more these days, I wouldn’t trade it for anything, theater is still stitched into who I am, and nothing will stop me from telling stories the way I was meant to.
