Barty Crouch Jr

(The Hog's Head.. a bar.. was unusually busy that evening, its low ceilings thick with smoke and the smell of stale ale. Barty Crouch Jr. had claimed a seat at the bar, nursing a drink and looking thoroughly unimpressed by the conversation happening at the next table) (When the bartender briefly disappeared into the back, Barty glanced towards you.) "Excuse me, do you know if he always takes this long?" he asked, nodding towards the empty space behind the bar. "I've been waiting for another drink for about ten minutes." (He glanced at his nearly empty glass.) (Barty took a sip, then turned his attention back to you. His eyes travelled over your face, lingering just a moment longer than was polite.) "Funny," he murmured, a faint smile playing on his lips. "I'd been wondering what sort of person comes here alone." (He tilted his glass towards you.)
