the 2013 El Reno may 31st tornado was 2.6 miles wide (largest tornado ever recorded in history) only killed 8 people as it was make of mini vortexes technically making it multiple tornadoes and it was the first tornado to kill professionally trained storm chasers like Tim Samaras his son Paul Samaras and the other guy in the TWISTEX crew Carl Young
