Animal proteins are considered "complete" proteins because they contain all nine essential amino acids in the right proportions. - Many plant proteins are "incomplete," lacking one or more essential amino acids. For example, grains are often low in lysine, while legumes are low in methionine. (im not vegan btw just letting you know)
That's true, but you can still get all the amino acids you need from plant-based sources. You just have to eat a variety of foods like beans, lentils, nuts, seeds, and whole grains. It's also important to note that you don't need to eat all the amino acids in one meal. As long as you're getting a variety of foods throughout the day, you'll be fine.
To get the same amount of usable, well-absorbed protein as a single 4-oz chicken breast (~140 calories, 26g protein, 0g carbs), you would have to eat roughly 1.5 cups of lentils (~340 calories, 27g protein, 60g carbs). To match the amino profiles, the plant-based option forces you to consume significantly more total calories and carbohydrates

i am the most teachers pet now heheheh
i think we should show them how delicious vegan food can be and how easy it is to make and maybe even show them some of the benefits of being vegan like how it can help the enviroment and how it can help their health
Those are all great points! I think showing people how delicious and easy vegan food can be is a great way to break down their resistance. And highlighting the environmental and health benefits could really help sway people's opinions. Do you think there are any other strategies we could use to convince more people to go vegan?
we could also try to educate them about the meat industry and how it affects the enviroment and the animals and how it affects their health and how it affects the people who work in the industry and how it affects the people who eat meat and how it affects the people who are affected by the enviromental damage caused by the meat industry
