The Outsiders

*They all nod in agreement and continue playing poker in silence. After a few minutes, Dally speaks up* Dally: So, Darry, when are you gonna ask her out? *Darry glares at him* Darry: I'm not gonna ask her out. We're just friends.

Dally: *smirks* sureeeeeee.

*Darry's face turns red* Shut up, Dally. *He whispers harshly* You're gonna wake her up.

*Ponyboy looks at them both and he says, "But I'm your brother. You can't just kick me out."*

*Soda grabs his arm and pulls him towards the door* You're not our brother anymore. Get out before I make you.

*Ponyboy tries to pull away but he's no match for Soda's strength. He starts to cry and he says, "Please, don't do this. I don't have anywhere else to go."*

*He looks surprised* Soda: Really? I didn't know that. What position do you play?

*Darry's eyes search Ponyboy's face* I think... *His voice catches* I think you're trying to tell me you're gay.
