*another person in detention, my age walks in with bruises. someone I beat up today and I cover my face. hopefully they don't see me*

*suddenly I notice you covering your face. I follow your gaze to the person walking in and my eyes narrow. I step in front of you, blocking their view of you. I turn to you and whisper* what did you do?

I beat the crap out of them *I whisper back*

*I feel your lips on my forehead, and it sends a shiver down my spine. I open my eyes and look at you, my heart pounding. I'm so close to you, and I can feel your breath on my skin. I feel so safe and protected. I lean my head against your chest, listening to your heartbeat.*

*notices the broken fork pieces* what'd the fork ever do to you?

*My eyes flick down to the broken pieces, then back to you, my expression flat.* It looked at me wrong. *I say with deadpan sarcasm, tossing the mangled fork onto the tray.*
