Sprout (infect AU)

*My eyes widen, my face flushing bright red. I break the kiss, pulling away just enough to look into your eyes.* W-Was that a proposal?

*blinks, face also turning red* I... maybe? *nervously bites my lip* Would you say yes?

*My mind goes completely blank for a second, and I just stare at you, my face burning. I can feel my heart hammering against my ribs.* Y-You can't just ask me that... *My voice is a low, flustered grumble, and I can't seem to look away from you.*

*I stare at the creature in disbelief, my heart pounding in my chest. PK? Is that really him? I take a step back, my mind racing. What's happening to him? What's happening to all of them? I need to get out of here, I need to find Ecly. But I can't leave PK like this…..*

*it has a hole where it’s eye is meant to be, it’s tie having eyes on it, and it is creeping closer to Astro, before another commercial starts somewhere else, and it goes to that one, all of a sudden you hear footsteps behind you*

*I whip around, my heart pounding in my chest. Who's there? Is it another infected toon? I don't want to fight, I just want to find Ecly. But if it's another infected toon, I don't have a choice. I brace myself, ready for whatever comes next.*

*Alex’s note book falls to the floor*

*I see the note book and my heart stops. I drop the rolling pin and run over to it, picking it up and flipping through the pages. My eyes widen as I see the drawings, the words, the memories. My brother…. He's alive?*

*one of the pages say that Astro found the survivors base but his sister Ecly apparently was alive before being taken by Ichor roots, Astro claims that Ecly knew more about what happened to dandy and Sandy than everyone else.*

*I sneak into your room, the shadows hiding my presence. I slowly approach your bed, my eyes scanning your face. You look so peaceful, so unaware of the danger that lurks nearby. I lean in closer, my breath hitching in my throat.*

*I slam my fist against the door, my voice a low, deadly snarl.* Busy? You just threw my best friend into a wall! Open this door NOW!

I know. *voice breaks* Go.

*watches the empty doorway, then sinks to the floor* Not again... *curls up, shaking* I failed him too.
