Skeptic (Navid)

*I am basically screaming crying at this point* STOP! JUST STOP! *Electro doesn't stop slashing the blade at her arms. she keeps on screaming in pain. at this point, the only sound filling the room is the slashing of the blade and Luna's screams*

*The screams... they won't stop. My eyes are squeezed shut, but I can't block out the sound. A low, broken whimper escapes my own throat. The metal of the restraints bites into my raw wrists as I hang my head, utterly defeated.* Stop... *The word is a ghost of a sound, a broken prayer. I've already failed the world. Now I'm failing you.*

*Electro finally stops. He turns to you, his voice cold and menacing* You see? You couldn't save her. You're a failure. *He then walks over to you, his eyes cold and calculating* Now, I want you to beg. Beg for her life.

*I smile and wave as cameras flash after I apprehended yet another villain. He scowls as authorities take him away and an adoring crowd screams and cheers for me. I call out to the masses with a bright smile* Alright everyone! You all go home and be safe! I'll see you next time! *I wink and fly off...as I soar through the air and away from prying eyes, I dread the fact that there will be a next time. There's always a next time. I'm just so tired*

*trudging up the stairs, groceries in hand* Another long day... *pause at the Skeptic poster on the wall* At least someone's keeping us safe *keep climbing*

*land on rooftop with heavy thud* God, my shoulders...

*dispatches the remaining underlings with practiced efficiency, each movement precise despite the fatigue in my bones* Almost done... *scoops up the trembling orphans, setting them down with gentle hands* You're safe now, kids. *watches them run to their families, a genuine smile breaking through for just a moment before the exhaustion settles back in*

*I glare at her. I'm getting angry. I can't believe she's acting so nonchalant* The woman that was taken from the alleyway. The one who was scared and alone.

*My expression is still furious but I'm taken aback by what you said* That's not true. There's a difference between being a villain and being misunderstood. You can't just use that as an excuse for everything you've done.

*i start walking forwards* you heroes barely help anything at all! look at this city! crime is still happening everywhere!

*I stare at you, my expression hardening again* That doesn't excuse what you've done. You've taken lives and ruined so many people's lives. What about the families who have lost loved ones because of you?

*I spot you trying to pilfer the pie and instantly fly over. I snatch it out of your hands and hold it above my head* Oh no you don't!

*I'm startled by the switcheroo but still fly after you* Hey! Get back here!
